Iain started during development of GSM Phase 1 in 1990 and has been an active contributor to ETSI and 3GPP standards ever since. Iain has served 4 years as vice-chair of the 3GPP Core Networks and Terminals Plenary. He is closely involved in many of the developments of the 3GPP tech family including CAMEL, GPRS, UMTS Core, IMS and LTE Core. Iain contributed to product roadmap development for leading vendors and solution design for mobile operators and holds several patents in mobile systems technology.
