Shruthi Kumar
PhD Sustainability and Rural Connectivity TEA AnalystShruthi specialises in wireless connectivity and the digital divide and has obtained her PhD from the University of Strathclyde. Shruthi has also held research positions at other universities. She has been collaborating with partners in the academic and business sectors to investigate sustainable strategy for bridging the digital divide such as infrastructure sharing approaches and their policy implications.
Recent projects include working on a monograph to explore different wireless technologies to bridge the digital divide around the world and studying the techno-economic models for infrastructure upgrade to 5G considering the market diffusion model. Shruthi has also worked on EPSRC-funded research projects for pilot trials of 5G in rural areas and providing affordable internet connectivity in rural areas.
Shruthi is a self-starter who can work well independently and in a team environment. Her research expertise lies in sustainable network strategies.
