Simon has over 30 years experience in the design, development and implementation of complex communication and control equipment from cellular phones to large fixed radio installations Simon is a skilled RF engineer with in depth knowledge of numerous radio technologies based upon real world, experience. Specific areas of expertise include RF In – Building Coverage solutions for Cellular, WiFi, Tetra and PMR systems, GSM-R tunnel solutions, RF Health and Safety, Development of Intrinsically Safe equipment for hazardous areas, 2G,3G,4G communications systems, Ptp and Laser radio links.

Simon has been directly responsible for the design and production of a large and diverse range of electronic products including Motorola 2 Way radio equipment, Radio Paging equipment, Mine Shaft communication and safety control systems, Ruggedised radio equipment for oil rig locations, Train WiFi systems, and Low Power Solar Powered RF repeater equipment.

Simon is well known for his practical ‘Hands On’ approach with his years working as a product design engineer for companies such as Sony Ericsson, and Motorola enabling him to develop and fault find equipment and systems down to component level Simon is particularly I.T. literate and has also written many software applications including RF survey measurement and data post processing routines. Simon was also the co founder of AIB wireless a successful Wireless Consultancy company responsible for the design and deployment of numerous RF coverage systems for Shopping Centres, Airports and Transport companies including Network Rail.
