Real Wireless is delighted to announce that Julie Bradford, Head of Techno-Economic Analysis, has been appointed Chair of the newly established Cambridge Wireless (CW) Tech Advisory Board, bringing together leading experts from industry and academia to help shape the future of the UK’s communications and digital technology ecosystem.
The new Tech Advisory Board has been created to provide independent strategic guidance, technology insight and horizon scanning across the technologies transforming the communications sector. The board will play a key role in shaping CW’s technology programme, supporting the evolution of its Special Interest Groups (SIGs), contributing ideas for flagship conferences and events, and ensuring that its activities remain closely aligned with the opportunities and challenges facing industry.
Julie has worked closely with the CW team to support the development and establishment of the board, helping bring together a diverse group of respected leaders from across industry, research and academia.
As Chair, Julie will lead discussions on emerging technology themes, helping Cambridge Wireless strengthen its member-led programme while fostering greater collaboration across the UK’s innovation ecosystem.

The board reflects the breadth of expertise across the communications and technology sectors, with members representing leading organisations spanning telecommunications, artificial intelligence, research, innovation and engineering. Alongside Julie, members include Dr Mike Short, Professor Yonghong Peng, Craig Pemberton (Vodafone), Jeremy Writer (CGI), Kamil Hussain (RAND Europe), Professor Dimitra Simeonidou (University of Bristol), Professor Harald Haas, Katy Davies (Cap Air Systems), Nick Hunn (WiFore Consulting), Cristina Data (Joint Radio Company), together with Cambridge Wireless CEO Michaela Eschbach and Head of Events Rachel Kerr.
